FROM STATE TEMPLATE TO COUNTY MOVEMENT
A 250-year milestone needed its own identity. Here’s what it took to build one: brand, web, automation, social, and PR, under a single strategist.

A state-issued logo, identical in structure to every other county’s with only the name changed. No website. No social presence. No plan, just tips.

A distinct visual identity, a full website, six social channels, and a coordinated PR strategy, built from scratch.
How We Shift a Milestone Into a Movement
Strategy first, tools second. We built one integrated system across five areas, each reinforcing the others.
Designed a unique logo from scratch, replacing the generic state template with an identity built specifically for Guilford County.
Built a full website with a countdown timer, historical facts feature, sponsor recognition, and an integrated events calendar.
Built a system to keep content flowing automatically across platforms, saving 150+ hours of manual posting since November 2025.
Launched five social channels: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok and posted weekly.
Wrote and distributed 10 news releases, earning 30+ stories including front-page coverage in the Greensboro News & Record.
Brand
The only existing asset was a state-designed template logo, indistinguishable from every other county in North Carolina, except for the county name. We designed a unique logo specifically for Guilford County, giving the initiative its own visual identity and a foundation for everything built afterward.
Web
A full website, built from the ground up, served as the initiative’s home, including a countdown to America’s 250th birthday, a rotating historical facts feature, sponsor recognition, and an integrated calendar featuring historical events from across the county.

Automation
Rather than manage five channels manually, we built two automated systems: one grabbing historical facts from the website and the other pulling county events, to keep content flowing consistently across platforms.
Social
We established five social channels: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok, with Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn carrying the primary posting cadence.
PR
Seven years in TV newsrooms shaped how we wrote every media release, for what would interest journalists to cover, not just read.
Partially above-the-fold coverage, from multiple releases built like a newsroom would write about America250.
10 news releases distributed. 30+ news stories generated across local outlets.
Results That Speak For Themselves
Proven performance, backed by data.
Sarah and SnapShift Strategies took an idea with no former model to follow and designed an overarching branding campaign for the America250 Guilford body of work. The website she produced was such a guidepost for the entire Guilford County community, honoring our nation’s 250th birthday.
This Is the Same Strategy-First, Automation-Second Approach
SnapShift brings this to nonprofits and growing businesses — a real identity, systems that run themselves where possible, and the PR instincts to earn coverage paid ads can’t buy.
